Whether your project is just tracking, production, editing, mixing or a full production from start to finish, Phil and the team have the experience and knowledge to produce world class results.
Supported by great sounding rooms equipped with some of the best gear available, there is no project too big or too small.
RECORDING
Tracking at The Base is no problem - with enough space to have a full band cranking out tunes, or dim the lights and get in the zone for a vocal, The Base consistently delivers great sounding recordings.
mixing
Mixing is Phil's personal focus, and his credit list of Gold, Platinum and Aria winning albums is testament to his ability and taste when it comes to that important stage of a production.
Writing & Production
With an extensive list of writers and producers regularly using The Base, finding the right person to collaborate with on a project is never hard. Get in touch and let us know what you have in mind and we'll see where we can help.
Charts, Strings & Horn arrangements
Songwriter, Arranger and Pianist Jared Haschek is a valued member the team, and his skills in arranging, writing string and horn charts or laying down some great piano parts are put to good use regularly.
DRY HIRE
The Base offers Dry-Hire rates to freelance engineers and producers, giving them the benefit of everything the facility offers. With the support of assistants familiar with the rooms and equipment, they are able to deliver their own artists and clients the results they're after.
Voice over
The studio offers an excellent service for recording, editing and post production of voice overs for all television, radio, and corporate uses. The Base can work with you to select the right voice artist if required, and can easily supply VO engineers familiar with the unique parameters of this sector of the industry.
VIDEO & FILM
If you have a film, whether it's short or feature length and need foley, sound effects, ADR or a mix, The Base can help.
With big TV's in both Studio 1 and 2 control rooms there is no trouble mixing to pictures, and a large projector screen in studio 1 live room lets artists watch and sync their performance to the on-screen action.
Because the studio looks and feels great, it's also popular place to shoot a video clip, or get some candid and 'behind the scenes' footage in support of a release or promotion. We have hosted a number of local and international artists and personalities for on-camera interviews, and besides being a cool location it's naturally perfect for the audio component!
